After 9 years on the air, we are sorry to say "The Radio Trip" is shutting down production. Ben has decided to discontinue producing and broadcasting "The Radio Trip." Reason: Since February 2007, Ben has been spending his time producing and directing for film and television and will be using his new found time to bring you more fine programs, but through a different medium.
The final broadcast of "The Radio Trip" on WPKN / WPKM was on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
This website will remain online and most shows will be available to download.
Thank you to everyone who has called the show, emailed the website, and listened to the show for any amount of time. You are half the reason the show existed. The other half of the reason was the enjoyment of actually creating, producing, and broadcasting the show on three stations over 9 years.
"The Radio Trip's" broadcast debut was on Saturday, September 18, 1999 at 6:00 PM on 98.1 FM WQAQ in Hamden, Connecticut. The show continued into the year 2000, broadcasting its 19th and final show on WQAQ on April 15, 2000. After developing this web site, the show resurfaced and began broadcasting on 88.7 FM WNHU on November 9, 2001. The show aired for nearly three years on WNHU until its final broadcast on August 26, 2004. At that time, "The Radio Trip" relocated to another station, 89.5 FM WPKN, making its broadcast debut on August 31, 2004. After 3 years on WPKN and nearly 9 years on the radio, "The Radio Trip's" final broadcast is on March 30, 2008.
